SK_Waistheld_TowLine - 1

SEA/TOUR KAYAK WAIST HELD TOW LINE This unique system doubles as a tow line and a quick release throw bag. Widely use by instructors and tour operators, it allows you to tow from any length up to 50 feet. It is resistant to salt water and equipped with flotation and a quick-release waist belt. Primary Use: adjustable tow line. Secondary Use: 50 foot Quick Release Throw Bag. This combination gives you a versatile, lightweight rescue tool that is always with you and quick to use. INSTRUCTIONS: Pre-set the Towing Length To pre-set the towing length, place a figure-eight stopper knot on the rope (we recommend between 20 - 50 feet, depending on water conditions). As the rope feeds through the brass ring, it will stop at the knot giving you the subsequent towing length. To Use the Towline Pull the blue webbing tab to release the brass clip. Hold onto the brass clip and pull the float from the bag. Hook the brass clip into the grab loop on the boat and begin towing. To Deploy the Throw Bag Open the top flap on the bag, remove the float and re-close the flap. Pull the one-inch red webbing tab on the right side of the bag. With the same hand, grab the throw bag and throw. Releasing the Belt In the event that you want to disengage from the rescue, release the cam buckle on the waist belt and allow the system to pull away from you. Re-packing the Bag Open the bag and simply feed the rope in at random, placing the float inside the bag so that it will stay secure when not in use.
