PADDLE FLOAT COUNTER BALANCE This product attaches to any North Water Paddle Float to serve as a counter-balance when performing a paddle float rescue. This greatly reduces the chance of re-capsizing your boat on the opposite side in stormy conditions. Once you are back in your boat it drains easily and stores unnoticed attached to your paddle float. Attaching Paddle Float Attach the side release buckle on the closed end of the counter balance to the webbing loop sewn into the bottom of the Paddle Float. This will put the mesh part of the counter balance facing the back of the Paddle Float. Cinch this tight so the buckle is laying flat against the bottom end of the Paddle float. Now run the 3/4 inch webbing around the Paddle float and attach it to the ladder lock, cinch this as tight as you can while keeping the counter balance centered on the Paddle Float. Now attach the second side release buckle to the grab loop attached to the Paddle Float. Using the Counter Balance To use the counter balance, simply set the Paddle Float up as you normally would, as you move it into position it will fill with water giving you the weight required. Complete your rescue. To empty the counter balance simply turn the paddle float over while it is still in the water, it will quickly drain as you bring in the paddle float.
