Description: Northane Clear Gloss is a two-component, non-yellowing polyurethane known for its excellent chemical and abrasion resistance. It cures to a water-clear finish with high gloss retention and fade resistance under extreme weather conditions.
Uses: Suitable for aircraft exteriors, boats, buses, earthmoving equipment, anti-graffiti applications, hospital walls and floors, furniture, fish ponds, and food surfaces. It is ideal for timber, steel, aluminium, and fibreglass as a durable waterproof finish coat.

  • Drying Time: Touch dry in 1 hour, recoat after 16 hours, hard dry in 48 hours
  • Recoating: Wet on wet for spraying, 16 hours for brush/roller
  • Pot Life: 8 hours
  • Mixing Ratio: 2 parts base to 1 part hardener by volume
  • Thinning: Spraying: 33 1/3% Northane Spraying Thinners; Brushing: up to 3% Northane Brushing Thinners

  • Clean Up: Use Norglass Spraying or Brushing Thinners
Preparation: Ensure surfaces are sound; remove cracked varnishes. Degrease and sand old Northane surfaces. Clean thoroughly to remove waxes, polishes, and oils. Consult Norglass for silicone polish removal.
Application: Mix two parts base with one part hardener, stand for 10 minutes, add thinner, strain, and wait another 10 minutes before use. Avoid application after 11 am in winter unless protected from dew. Allow 48 hours to cure before handling.
Transportation: Flammable liquid, Dangerous Goods Class 3.2, available in various pack sizes.
Precautions: Ensure adequate ventilation, avoid inhaling fumes, and wear protective gear. Do not use if you have had breathing issues with isocyanates.
First Aid: Move to fresh air if inhaled, flush eyes with water if contacted, wash skin thoroughly if in contact, and do not induce vomiting if swallowed.
Special Instructions: Allow 72 hours before immersion in water. Multiple coats are needed for UV resistance when exposed to the sun.

NORTHANE CLEAR GLOSS Northane Clear Gloss should only be applied over sound surfaces, cracked varnishes should be removed completely. Recoating old Northane surfaces require degreasing and a light sand to a flat finish before proceeding. Note: All surfaces to be finished in NORTHANE CLEAR should be thoroughly cleaned down to remove any traces of waxes, polishes and oils.
