Application: Apply directly from the container using a brush or spread with a broom or sponge. Allow contact for a maximum of 20 minutes, then wash off thoroughly with water. Ensure the surface is not contaminated before drying and priming.
Overcoating: Prime the surface immediately after treatment and drying using appropriate primers like Norglass NoRust Primer or Shipshape Primer-Undercoat.
Transportation: Available in 4 litre, 1 litre, and 500 ml tamper-proof containers.
Precautions: Avoid skin and eye contact. Wear protective clothing, gloves, and goggles. In case of ingestion or contact, follow first aid instructions.
First Aid:
  • If swallowed, rinse mouth and seek medical attention.
  • If in eyes, flush with water for 15 minutes and consult a doctor.

Metal-Etch Gel will clean and condition the metal surface to promote good adhesion of paint. Metal-Etch Gel has been formulated as a viscose liquid/gel to provide better hold on vertical surfaces. Shaking or stirring the container for 1-2 minutes will liquify the METAL-ETCH for a more fluid application. By allowing the container to stand for 1-2 hours, the product will regel. USES: For etching all non ferrous metals prior to painting or clear lacquering. Page 2 - Metal-Etch Gel PREPARATION: Remove any oxidation (powdery film) by scrubbing with a nylon scouring pad soaked in NORGLASS ACETONE. On new shiny metal galvanic iron plating or rolling oils (aluminium) are to be treated by washing over the area with NORGLASS ACETONE using clean rags. APPLICATION: Apply NORGLASS METAL-ETCH GEL to the bare metal surface direct from the container using a clean brush or alternatively pour a quantity onto the bare metal surface and spread it with a soft nylon broom or sponge.
