In Norway boat construction and boat building in wood has a long tradition all the way since the long boats of the Vikings about 800 AD. The new fibre glass technology revolutionised the boat building from handwork to industry in the 1960`s. Nordkapp was founded in 1967, in the historic Viking town of Sarpsborg, Norway.
