Product Characteristics
The material is a halogen-free flame-retardant polypropylene compound with a density of 65 kg/m3 (ISO 845). The surfacic mass for a 20 mm thick panel is 1.5 kg/m² (NFEN 29 073-1). Standard sizes are 1220 x 2500 mm for Europe and 1220 x 2134 mm for export, with thicknesses ranging from 5 to 100 mm. Tolerances are ± 5 mm for length and width, and ± 0.5 mm for thickness. The cell size is 8 mm hexagonal, with a 50 µm polypropylene film and 45 g/m² polyester non-woven layer on both sides.
Fire and Chemical Properties
The product offers various fire behavior certifications and excellent resistance to water, most acids, bases, and salt solutions. It is resistant to ultraviolet rays, with longevity ensured by anti-U.V. protection. Shock resistance is enhanced by the copolymer PP used.
Thermal Insulation
For a 20 mm honeycomb core, the thermal resistance is R = 0.3 m².°C/W (λ = 0.067 W/(m.°C)), and for a 90 mm core, R = 0.6 m².°C/W (λ = 0.14 W/(m.°C)).
Mechanical Characteristics
The compressive strength is 1.2 MPa (ISO 844), with a compressive modulus of 40 MPa. Perpendicular tensile strength is 0.8 MPa (ASTM C297), shear strength is 0.4 MPa (ISO 1922), and shear modulus is 9 MPa. Water resistance retains ± 100% of shear strength (ASTM C393).
