IMPREWOOD Polyurethane resin for wood impregnation 71 O The printing process may render some of the colour samples imperfectly. We recommend testing the paint before committing to a colour. Nautix IMPREWOOD is an innovated 1-pack polyurethane impregnation resin developed for professional use. This resin has 2 objectives : Make wood hardened and improve adhesion of next coatings. IMPREWOOD is very fluid resin that must be applied over new wood or bare wood, and can easily impregnate pores of surface. This product must be overcoated by : - 1-part or 2-part finishing paint (varnish,...) Oily wood • Ensure the substrate to be cleaned, dried, and free of dust. • The surface must be degreased with Nautix SD (with 2 different clothes). • Leave for 1h before application of resin. Technical recommendation Substrate should be dried. The risk is to capture the moisture into the structure and lead to blistering or delamination. Imprewood can be applied over deck caulking sealant. SAFETY INFORMATION • Work in well-ventilated area (ensure adequate ventilation during use), wear suitable protective clothing, gloves, glasses and eye/face protection. Unprotected person must be kept away from treatment area. Dispose of protective gloves and equipment after use. • Read the label safety section for Health and Safety Information before application. • Application methods : brush, roller. • Apply between 10 and 30°C (ideally inside with hygrometry rate no greater than 85%). • Do not apply when there is a chance of condensation forming on the substrate (Dew-Point) : substrate, ambient air and product temperatures must be close. • Avoid applying in adverse weather conditions : strong wind, strong sunlight, high/low temperatures, high humidity or rain. • Favour natural solvent evaporation and do not heat ambient air after beginning of application. IMPREWOOD Polyurethane resin for wood impregnation 1 coat : Application of IMPREWOOD with brush or roller (mixed at 50% with DA/DP thinner). Ensure that resin penetrates all crevices of the surface. Cross movement during application. 2nd coat : Application of IMPREWOOD (mixed at 25% with DA/DP thinner). 3rd coat : Application of IMPREWOOD without thinner. If you still don’t have smooth finish, apply additional coats of IMPREWOOD until you get full filling of wood pores. Remove the surplus of resin with cloth, and let dry.
