A Cost-Effective Blue Water Work Boat The KingFisher 28 Patrol is the mosi cost efficient way to get your enforcement people offshore. The hull structure is based on the proven construction method developed for the KingFishcr 22, which features a box-section girder structure that reduces costs while increasing hull rigidity. The KF28 is the newest vessel in this scries, applying the efficiency of the construc- tion method lo a heavy-duly rough weather working platform. The vessel pictured here was built for the Ontano Ministry of Natural Resources for fisheries patrol and enforcement on LdtaB Huron. Operating conditions called for a hull which can operate in high wave conditions, and provide a safe working environment for operators in an extended season with extended range. Equipped with a pair of Volvo KAD3I DuoProps. the vessel planed quickly and reached 32 mph fully loaded. The low freeboard aft is ideal for net hauling or working over the side.
