SBM 20/30 Steel Buoys

SBM 20/30 Steel Buoys

Product catalog summary
Specifications:
Buoys are available in diameters ranging from 2 to 3 meters. The float is constructed from A-36 naval steel and treated with an anti-corrosion inorganic Zinc treatment based on ethyl silicate. The superstructure is made of steel with a similar anti-corrosion treatment and coated with polyurethane paint for signal color. The tail or skirt includes ballast weights made from hot-dip galvanized steel. The buoys feature stainless-steel hardware, a marine rubber fender, and an anti-sliding top surface. They are designed according to IALA Recommendations and can be customized with materials like stainless steel or marine aluminum.
Procedures and Standards:
The buoys are designed using conventional architecture combined with the latest material technologies and current standards. The steel used is of high quality, similar to that used in the naval field, with a thickness greater than 10 mm. The anti-oxidation treatment ensures maintenance periods exceeding 5 years. The metallic parts are designed for long service life under harsh marine conditions.
Options and Customization:
Options include superstructures made from stainless steel or marine aluminum, active radar reflectors, bird spikes, and various focal heights. Other designs are available upon request.
Technical Data:
Material: Hot-dip galvanized steel. Coating includes Hempadur Primer and Polyurethane Hempadur Polyenamel. Day marks are made of polyethylene. Supports are available for lanterns, Racon/AIS, and solar modules. The radar reflector covers 36 m² (X Band). Battery capacity is up to 130 Ah. The buoys have ladder access to the lantern, a safety ring, and an identification plate. Lifting eyes are provided in pairs.
Float and Tail Specifications:
Float diameters range from 2 to 3 meters. The freeboard and draft coatings include Hempadur Primer, brea epoxy, and antifouling Globic coats. The tail is made from hot-dip galvanized steel with detachable ballast weights and sacrificial anodes for protection. Mooring eyes are provided.
Model Specifications:

SBM 20/30 Steel Buoys-1

SBM Steel Buoys are designed by combining conventional architecture used during several decades with the application of latest technologies in materials and current standards. The high-quality steel for its construction is the same than the one used in the naval field, with a thickness greater than 10 mm. Float diameters available from 2 to 3 meters are submitted to an antioxidation treatment providing maintenance periods above 5 years. They are characterized by their high shock resistance and stability. Metallic parts of the buoys (superstructure and tail) are made from hot-dip galvanized steel, and designed to provide a long service life under harsh marine conditions. They can be customized under client’s request, as well as to be made from stainless steel or marine aluminium. Features: • Diameters from 2 to 3 metres. • Float made from A-36 naval steel, coated with a special anti-corrosion inorganic Zinc treatment, ethyl silicate based. • Float with two lifting eyes and two mooring eyes. • Solid superstructure with three angular faces, made from steel with a special anti-corrosion inorganic Zinc treatment, ethyl silicate based, coated with polyurethane paint to give the signal colour. • Tail or skirt with ballast weights, made from hot-dip galvanized steel. • Stainless-steel hardware. • Marine rubber fender around the float. • Anti-sliding float top surface. • Access to the inside of the float to enable maintenance tasks or foam filling. • Designed according to IA
