Standard Design

Characteristics: The Wide Range Balanced Proportioner M-BWP60 is constructed from BS 1400 LG2 material. It features a water supply interface of 6” ANSI B16.5 150 lb or DN 150 PN16, and a foam supply interface of DN40 PN16 or 1 ½” ANSI B16.5 150lb. A check valve is included in the foam port, made from 1 ½” BS1400 LG2.

Pressure Specifications: The design pressure is 16 bar, with an optional 20 bar (not VdS). The test pressure is 24 bar, with an optional 30 bar (not VdS). The water pressure range is 5-16 bar, extendable to 5-19 bar (not VdS), and the foam pressure range is 1-10 bar higher than the water pressure, limited to 17 bar, with a maximum of 20 bar (not VdS).

Flow and Insertion: The flow range is 100-9000 l/min. Insertion rates are 1% with tolerances of 0% to +30% AFFF (VDS), 2% with tolerances of 0% to +30% AFFF, 3% with tolerances of 0% to +30% AFFF (VDS), and 3% with tolerances of 0% to +30% ARC (VDS). A 6% insertion is limited to a maximum flow of 4000 l/min.

Weight and Installation: The unit weighs 47 kg. Installation requires a straight pipe minimum of 3 x DN at the inlet. The outlet piping must match the inlet specification, but there are no requirements for straight pipe length.
