Deep Draft Submarine Camel The SDD camel is designed for berthing of U.S. Navy fast-attack submarines. Lighter weight but similar in design to the MDD camel, the SDD camel features seal welded tubular steel construction (bottom pipes are open), vertically positioned submarine side fenders, a wide body design and a narrow berthing footprint. Surface Ship Camel The LDS Surface Ship Camel was designed to berth DDG and CG class surface vessels. Sealed tubular steel construction 100% filled with closed cell foam along with an improved anti-fouling coating and 316 stainless steel hardware improves the camel’s service life and extends maintenance intervals. Ship Separator The DDG ship separator is designed for nesting U.S. Navy Arleigh Burke class destroyers. Square tubing is used in its construction in lieu of angle iron. The separator incorporates four 6 ft by 12 ft foam filled fenders for energy absorption and flotation. Both handrails are removable. All members are filled with closed cell polyurethane foam and all attachment hardware is 316 stainless steel. The DDG separator is designed with double wall fender backing plates. Maritime offers this system with a composite deck, towing and mooring cleats, and a variety of coating systems.

Interlocking Marine Camel Designed for berthing LHA and LHD class vessels, the heavy-duty, long body design of the ICM camel distributes berthing loads to existing piles on the pier. Universal Triangular & Cylindrical Submarine Separators The universal triangular submarine separator and cylindrical submarine separator both incorporate composite floats with thermoplastic markings for longevity and exact detail. Kevlar straps replace steel chain to prolong the separator lifespan. Type I, II & III – Paint Camel The one, two and three tier Maritime Paint Camel Systems are paint floats which allow hull painting and preservation to be completed at various elevations. The body of the MPCS is constructed of tubular steel that is foam filled for extended service life. Non-marking grey rubber fenders prevent damage to the camel and adjacent ships.
