Catalog excerpts
Maritime International’s ME Leg/Element fender provides a compact solution for the mounting of fenders where space is limited. The unique nature of leg fenders allow the fender’s length to be altered when maximum fender system standoff values may limit the use of cone or cell fenders. ME leg fenders can be mounted behind panels or piles. They can also be supplied with a UHMWPE shield providing a low cost alternative to an arch type fender and with much less space required. Type: Element Nominal Deflection: 57.5% Buckling Deflection: 30% Max Deflection: 60% E to R ratio: Medium Durability: Medium Special Design Comments: • Unless supported by a piling system or some other structural member leg fenders are required to be installed as symmetrical pairs or with three or more legs supporting the panel. • Performance listed is for a single leg. • ME leg fenders are required to be tested using the decreasing velocity method to achieve published performance values. • Common lengths include 900, 1000, 1500, and 2000 mm. Alternate fender lengths can also be provided upon request. Deflection Characteristics: © 2013 Maritime International - All rights reserved. V2.1 Other sizes available.
