Mounting Systems for Sea Stairs and Sea Ladders— 3" (76 ) Pin Mount Brackets— • Our most popular mounting system. • Accepts all MarQuipt pin mount equipment. • Marine grade aluminum anodized construction. • Mounts either vertically to the hullside or horizontally on the caprail surface. • Each bracket should be bedded in quality marine sealant/adhesive and secured with four marine grade stainless steel #14 OHST (oval head, self-tapping screws). center line center line 2" (50 ) 18-3/4" (476 ) for 19" Sea Stairs and Ladders or 23-3/4" (476 ) for 24" Sea Stairs and Ladders Flush Mount Brackets— 2-1/4" (57 ) • The obvious choice when pin mount brackets protrude past the rub rail. • Accepts all MarQuipt rod mount equipment. • Marine grade aluminum anodized construction. • Mounts vertically to the hullside (no horizontal mounting). • Optional polished stainless steel scratch plates are available to protect the hull when inserting or removing the stair or ladder. • Each socket should be bedded in quality marine sealant/adhesive and secured with four marine grade stainless steel #14 OHST (oval head, self-tapping screws). • Sockets must have 2-1/2" (64 ) of free space above them to allow for insertion and removal of the male "T"s. center line center line Male "T" Optional scratch plates 19-1/4" (483 ) for 19" Sea Stairs and Ladders or 24-1/4" (622 ) for 24" Sea Stairs and Ladders Flush Mount Kits— The "T"s and stainless steel rod remain attached to the stair or ladder. • Our flush mount kit consists of two male "T"s and a polished and passivated 316- stainless steel rod. • If you wish to mount your stair or ladder in more than one location along the hull, you will need two additional female sockets per location. This chart outlines acceptable fastening methods for MarQuipt Sea Stair and Sea Ladder mounting brackets. Please follow this chart closely to insure secure, safe mounting of your MarQuipt equipment. All hardware should be bedded in quality marine sealant/adhesive and secured with four marine-grade stainless steel oval head screws. Through-bolts should be marked and drilled to 1/4". Installations using self-tapping #14 screws should have holes marked and drilled to 3/16". Installations using machine screws tapped directly into steel, nickel or aluminum should be drilled to 13/64" and tapped...
