Product catalog summary
Engine Description:
The i6-730 and i6-800 engines are 6-cylinder in-line, 4-stroke diesel engines with water cooling. They feature turbocharging with a charge air intercooler and waste gate, and have 4 valves per cylinder. The fuel system is a Common Rail direct fuel injection with electronic control, and the engines use a closed lubrication system with forced feeding, oil cooling, and filtering. Cooling is managed by a heat exchanger with engine and seawater circuits. Engine control is electronic with an Electronic Diesel Control (EDC) and includes an electronic engine monitoring and diagnostic unit. The fuel used is DIN EN 590.
Dimensions:
The overall width is 922 mm, length is 1,800 mm, and height with a standard oil pan is 1,103 mm. The top of the engine to the crankshaft center measures 704 mm, and the length from the front end to the edge of the flywheel housing is 1,532 mm. The average dry weight of the engine ready for installation is 1,215 kg.
Technical Features:
Both engines have a displacement of 12.42 liters. The i6-730 has a maximum output of 537 kW (730 hp) and the i6-800 has 588 kW (800 hp), both at a rated speed of 2,300 rpm. Maximum torque for the i6-730 is 2,445 Nm at 1,300–2,100 rpm, and for the i6-800, it is 2,674 Nm at 1,400–2,000 rpm. Absolute fuel consumption at rated power is 142 l/h for the i6-730 and 158 l/h for the i6-800. Both engines comply with IMO Tier 2, EPA Tier 3, RCD 2013/53/EC, and 97/68/EC standards, with increased fuel consumption only for EPA Tier 3.
Power and Torque Charts:
The power and torque charts illustrate the performance of both engines across various RPMs, showing the relationship between power output (kW) and torque (Nm) as well as absolute fuel consumption (l/h).
