Engine Description:
The i6-730 and i6-800 engines are 6-cylinder in-line, 4-stroke diesel engines with water cooling. They feature turbocharging with a charge air intercooler and waste gate, and have 4 valves per cylinder. The fuel system is a Common Rail direct fuel injection with electronic control, and the engines use a closed lubrication system with forced feeding, oil cooling, and filtering. Cooling is managed by a heat exchanger with engine and seawater circuits. Absolute fuel consumption at rated power is 142 l/h for the i6-730 and 158 l/h for the i6-800. Both engines comply with IMO Tier 2, EPA Tier 3, RCD 2013/53/EC, and 97/68/EC standards, with increased fuel consumption only for EPA Tier 3.
