Overview
This document serves as a guide for selecting appropriate spray tips for various applications, focusing on factors like orifice size, fan angle, pump pressure, and material viscosity. Proper tip selection is crucial for productivity and waste minimization. It stresses the importance of replacing worn tips to maintain performance and extend equipment life.
FIT® Tips
M.V.P.'s patented Fluid Impingement Technology (FIT®) tips are designed to reduce emissions by lowering atomization. These tips allow for lower pump pressure while maintaining an effective spray pattern. Guidelines for converting from airless to FIT® tips and interpreting FIT® spray tip information are provided.
Airless Tips
Airless spray tips control the spray pattern and flow of coatings. The document outlines their characteristics and provides a selection guide for optimal performance. Tips for extending spray tip life include using the lowest atomization pressure and regular filter cleaning.
Specialty Tips
Information on specialty tips like ReversaTip and Granite Coat Tips is included, designed for specific applications and materials.
Parts Drawings
Detailed parts drawings provide visual references for various components and their specifications.
Specifications
The document lists part numbers with corresponding orifice sizes, fan widths, and spray patterns, crucial for selecting the appropriate tip for specific applications.

When selecting a spray tip there are two main factors to consider - orifice size and fan angle. We must also consider pump pressure, material viscosity, type of ap- plication and application technique. Orifice Size: The orifice size will determine the amount of material output. Orifice size will also, to some degree, determine fluid pressure. Different molds and ap- plications will require different material outputs, small molds will require smaller orifice with a narrower fan angle. If you are trying to increase material output it is best to use the next size larger tip or reduce the material...

MAGNUM VENUS PRODUCTS Aír Ass ist Assy - For VFIT Tips VPA-1OOÜ-VFIT FIT® (Fluid Impingement Technology) tips are designed to help reduce emissions by reducing atomization. FIT® tips allow you to lower the pump pressure and thus fluid pressure, and still develop a great spray fan. A FIT® tip is designed so as the two (2) streams of material come together, they produce a "curtain" which then breaks up into large droplets. When selecting a FIT® tip there are two main factors to consider: orifice size and fan angle. We must also consider pump pressure, material viscosity, type of application and...

Airless Tips Understanding Airless Tips Airless Spray tips are a key component to the successful operation of an airless spray system. They define the spray pattern, control the flow of the coating being sprayed and ultimately tell the pump how hard it must work. A proper understanding of airless tips is critical to the success of any airless Airless Spray Tip Characteristics It is important to remember that the orifice size, in conjunction with the fan- width size, determines the spray characteristics of the tip. Examples: The larger the orifice with the same fan width, the greater the volume...

Airless Air Assist Tips The Magnum Venus Plastech Advanced Design Group has made internai mix F/T® gelcoat a reality. The new design on the VPA-1000-VFIT introduces a pre- cise intersect point of air into the impinging stream, which greatly enhances and defines the impinge pattern, providing a feathered paint-like pattern and smooth finish. The new VFIT, tested with air assist pressure as low as 15 psi, provides a softer air jet that requires less pressure, thereby delivering a clearly defined impinge pattern. The VPA-1000-VFIT offers a comprehensive tip selection: UMT/UGT Catalyst Tip Chart
