The Make-A-Bridge® Modular Bridge System is designed for maritime infrastructure, providing secure and easy installation for new or existing marine facilities. It emphasizes strength, access, and resilience, making it suitable for sustainable "green marina" development.

Design and Features
The system features a patented modular extruded aluminum design that ensures ultra-light and strong structures. High-strength aluminum members interlock into cast aluminum tripod nodes, forming continuous truss sections. The components are corrosion-free, available in various colors, and can be customized with options like non-slip decking, tension roof canopy, integrated handrails, kick plates, and built-in LED lighting.

Specifications

• Aluminum members are fully recyclable.
• Single spans range from 10'-0" to 60'-0" (3m to 18m).
• Withstands severe weather and climate conditions.
• Maximum weight per element is 110lb (50kg).
• Constructed using high-strength alloys: 6005A, 6061, 6082, AA356, AA357.
• Destructive testing conducted at École de technologie supérieure and University of Waterloo.
• Strength UTS of 260-290MPa.
• Footbridge dead load structural weight of 10 to 15psf (0.5 to 0.72kPa).

Patents
The system is protected by several US patents (US 8,667,633; US 8,590,084; US 7,882,586; US 7,568,253) and has patents pending (WO 2010/040205 A1 – 12/495,084) for its moment-resisting joint using a tripod node.
