Solandge Sparkling colours and materials, producing a mix of detailed styles capable of creating a decor which is simultaneously both classic and modern featuring works of undeniable beauty, such as an impressive Murano glass tree which soars high up through the yacht to the top with many lights everywhere. “Solandge” is a true sensorial experience and more than a yacht. Text by Daniele Carnevali 28 013 was an important experience for the superyacht world, which was highlighted by many and significant launches that not only brought financial relief to several yards but also a much needed second wind to this fabulous sector where today everything seems possible. Cases in point: Galactica Star’s incredible performance (built at Heesen Yachts) or taking a close look at Chopi Chopi CRN’s huge yacht and her impressive interiors which took the lion’s share with Lürssen’s 86 metre Quattroelle. And this German shipyard can rightly claim a successful past year twice over. Firstly with the launching of Azzam a gigantic 180 metre designed with Nauta Yachts and Christophe Leoni which was followed up with the aforementioned Quattroelle initialled by Nuvolari – Lenard and the very elegant Solandge the project design work of which was also entrusted to Espen Øino and Aileen Rodriguez. Solandge owner a natural evolution from Lürssen’s 63 metre model.The 83 is the result of the yard’s project design team working with Espen Øino, Aileen Rodriguez and Richard Masters’ design studios while the project manager was appointed by the owner himself. Espen Øino, who had already worked with Lürssen many times provided all exterior design work which resulted in an elegant, streamlined and sleek looking yacht sporting a blue uniform. The interior decor is from Aileen Rodriguez’s studio in Fort Lauderdale which was previously also involved in the interiors of the 63 metre Polar Star built...
