Faro and Faro+ Pontoons

Product catalog summary
Overview: The document describes the Faro and Faro+ systems, which are floating pontoons made from marine-grade aluminium alloy. These systems are designed for use in marinas, docks, and navigation channels, offering high resistance to sea water corrosion and an attractive appearance.
Applications: The systems are recommended for sheltered locations in basins and estuaries, landings for recreation and leisure vessels, private piers with fingers, and areas with high environmental aggression.
General Characteristics:
  • Strength: Made from marine-grade aluminium alloy, providing high resistance to sea water corrosion.
  • Flexibility: Universal adjustment along the pontoon allows for the positioning of other walkways, fingers, and accessories.
  • Fixings and Moorings: Options include piles, metallic sections, radius arms, chains, or flexible moorings.
  • Services: Easy assembly and maintenance of water and electricity services.
  • Live Load: Standard live load of 1.5kN/m² on the walking surface between ducts.
  • Optional Accessories: Include marine elastomer fenders, side guardrails, and additional flotation for superior overload.
Advantages: The systems are attractive, stable, easy to assemble, flexible, and highly resistant to corrosion.
Technical Specifications:
  • Decking: Made of maintenance-free exotic wood with non-slip properties. Standard and optional dimensions are provided.
  • Structure: Welded aluminium structure with standard sections and specially commissioned extrusions. The Faro+ system features a reinforced structure.
  • Live Load: Walkways have a standard live load of 1.5kN/m², while fingers have a load of 1.0kN/m².
  • Design Parameters: Includes significant ripple heights, wind speeds, lateral loading, and maximum load on cleats.
  • Floats: Made of rotomoulded polyethylene filled with expanded polystyrene, requiring no maintenance.
  • Joints: Flexible and silent, using elastomer blocks and galvanized steel screws.
Schematic Section: Illustrates the duct services covered with anodized aluminium, decking made of exotic wood, and lateral fender.
