5 Boom The boom is a lattice framework construction with the boom tip being a shell structure which accommodates the lufng and main hoist sheaves. The hoist winches (main and auxiliary winches) are located in the pivot section of the boom. A boom extension and auxiliary hoist are available as an optional extra.
