Trim Tab Actuators

Trim Tab Actuators

Product catalog summary
Overview: The document provides detailed information about Lectrotab trim tab actuators, highlighting their features, specifications, and mounting dimensions. These actuators are designed for marine applications, offering a maintenance-free, non-hydraulic solution with a focus on durability and performance.
Standard Features: The actuators are covered by a lifetime warranty and feature a patented upper ram seal location that prevents damage from fouled rams or barnacle growth. They utilize a patented internal pressure equalization system and are compatible with popular hydraulic and electromechanical systems. An internal brake system prevents unwanted tab movement, ensuring quiet operation. The actuators are fully load tested to push 1000 lbs of force and have a non-metallic external structure that resists corrosion and deterioration.
Specifications: The actuators are available in 12VDC and 24VDC models with an 8-second stroke time recommended for smoother boat response. A 4-second stroke time is also available, with model numbers beginning with 'C' for 12VDC and 'D' for 24VDC. The actuators feature a 2.25" (57mm) full stroke and are packaged in a permanently sealed, non-metallic housing.
Mounting Dimensions: The document provides detailed dimensions for standard and low-profile transom mounting brackets. The standard actuator has a full stroke length of 11 9/16" (294mm) and various vertical heights depending on the transom angle. Cable lengths vary from 6 feet (1.8 meters) to 28 feet (8.5 meters) depending on the model.
Model Variations: The document lists several model variations, each with specific voltage, stroke length, stroke speed, and cable length. All models are compatible with all tabs, and options include standard and low-profile mounting brackets.

Trim Tab Actuators-1

Trim Tab Actuators STANDARD Lectrotab trim tab actuators are precision-engineered to combine quiet operation with a non-hydraulic, maintenance free design. The unit is corrosion free, ensures very accurate tab positioning, provides maximum lift force, and is totally self-contained for easy installation. The actuator assembly is packaged in a non-metallic permanently sealed housing. No components need to be installed inside the boat. Most importantly, unlike hydraulic trim tabs, there is no oil to leak out. The actuator incorporates either a standard or low profile transom mounting bracket. Actuators come in 12 and 24 VDC with 8 second recommended stroke time or 4 second stroke time. FEATURES • Actuator covered by a Lifetime Warranty • Upper ram seal patented location cannot be damaged due to fouled ram or barnacle growth • Utilizes patented internal pressure equalization system • Upgrades to most popular hydraulic and electromechanical systems • Internal brake system prevents unwanted tab movement when under way or backing down • Quiet operation • All actuators fully load tested to push 1000 lbs of force • Non-metallic external structure which cannot corrode and will not deteriorate in the sun or under water Linear Devices Corporation 8790 Park Central Drive, Richmond, VA 23772 www.lectrotab.com, Ph 804-261-3888, Fax 804-264-3070
