LANKO®FORCE WITH TIPTO® JACKET

LANKO®FORCE WITH TIPTO® JACKET

Product catalog summary
Introduction
LANKO®FORCE ropes with TIPTO® jacket are designed for applications where heat build-up and heavy abrasion are expected. The TIPTO® jacket provides excellent abrasion resistance and protects the load-bearing core from external heat and abrasion. The rope's specific gravity is less than 1, allowing it to float. Typical applications include mooring, towing, salvage, iceberg towing, and lifting.

Specifications
The ropes are constructed with a 12-strand design and a jacket. The specific gravity is 0.97, and the ropes exhibit excellent UV resistance and zero water absorption. The chemical resistance is good, and the ropes are marked with blue yarn. The melting point of the core is approximately 147°C, while the jacket melts at around 140°C.

Mechanical Properties
The ropes' diameter, weight, and Minimum Breaking Force (MBF) are determined according to ISO 2307:2005 standards. The MBF values range from 267 kN to 3,938 kN, depending on the diameter. The ropes can be spliced like any other eight-strand ropes and customized on-site if necessary.

Performance and Maintenance
The TIPTO® jacket provides additional protection to the load-bearing cores. If strands suffer excessive abrasion, they can be repaired by seizing the affected strands, allowing the rope to return to service without significant volume increase. Despite the over-braiding, the rope maintains its eight-strand structure.

Conclusion
LANKO®FORCE ropes with TIPTO® jacket offer a robust solution for demanding applications requiring high abrasion resistance and protection against heat build-up. Their design ensures durability and adaptability in various operational environments.

LANKO®FORCE WITH TIPTO® JACKET-1

FIBRE ROPES High performance ropes LANKO®FORCE with TIPTO® jacket LANKO®FORCE with jacket is produced for applications where heat build-up and heavy abrasion is expected. The presented data is with a TIPTO®jacket. This is a durable jacket with excellent abrasion characteristics and is advised to be used for those applications where the load bearing core members needs to be protected against external heat built up and / or abrasion. This jacket has a specific gravity smaller than 1, which will keep the rope afloat. Applications: mooring, towing, salvage, iceberg towing and lifting. All together this gives more protection to the load bearing cores. In the event one or two strands have suffered excessive abrasion during an operation, these can be repaired by putting a seizing over each abraided strand. The rope can return to the job without too much volume added by seizing. Despite the over braiding of the jacket, the rope is still an eight strand rope. She can be spliced like any other eight strand ropes and can be customized on location if the work requires so. Diameter, weight and MBF (as well as other mechanical and physical properties) are determined according ISO 2307:2005. The MBF refers to the breaking strength in the rope/wire itself, without splices or any other form of termination that can be formed with or without the use of accessories/fittings.
