The cover is 24-braided, the core has a 16-braided construction. Because of this double braided (braid on braid) construction, the hamilton rope is very flexible and easy to splice. Hamilton rope is used a lot as sheet rope in the watersports, on yachts, but it is also used a lot as a hoistrope.
