Dynamic Positioning Controller with dual controllers, remote I/O and power supplies Controller is used in the Kongsberg K-Pos DP, PM and DPM systems. The DPC-2 is designed for use in dual redundant Dynamic Positioning (DP) and Position Mooring (PM) systems where conventional signal cables are used for communication and interfacing to the propulsion and power systems. The controllers are based on the Kongsberg system technology with a control computer and I/O modules that focus on fault tolerance through decoupling and The internal cabinet arrangement reflects the controller structure, which gives a more logical approach to controller upgrades as well as installation and fault finding. The same cabinet can be used for dual (DP-21) and triple (DP-31) systems (requires a cabinet extension, supplied as part of a modification kit).
