Seaglider™ is a powerful and expandable tool for ocean data collection. A deep-diving AUV, Seaglider™ measures temperature, salinity and other quantities in the ocean, sending back the collected data using global satellite telemetry. HIGHLY EFFICIENT PROPULSION METHOD Rather than an electrically driven propeller, Seaglider™ uses wings and small changes in buoyancy to achieve forward motion. The combination of this extremely efficient propulsion method and the vehicle's low drag composite fairings & specially designed pressure hull results in the longest endurance of any commercial glider...

CLOUD-BASED DATA COLLECTION AND STORAGE Seaglider™ receives commands and sends back data using global satellite telemetry. With the cloud-based basestation, Seaglider™ is piloted and data is accessed from anywhere in the world. Data is available for review 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Daily backups guard against data loss. RUDICS connected via Iridium ground station. Additional options to connect the basestation and satellite are also available. The pilot communicates with the launch and recovery team as needed. DEPLOYED SEAGLIDER™ The Seaglider™ has been launched from any vessel of...
