In press shops, dies are managed using slings or specialized lifting devices like Die Grippers. Konecranes' solutions incorporate advanced technologies such as PLC controlling, position sensing, radio controlling via Profibus, Sway Control systems, and semi-automatic functions to reduce crane cycle times and improve operational safety.
When servicing die upper parts, significant rope angles (6-12 degrees) can occur, influenced by rope length and hook distances. These angles are particularly relevant for auxiliary hoists in two-hook/two-trolley systems.
To enhance accuracy in die handling, Konecranes has developed a system that provides camera views to operators, facilitating precise positioning of die grippers.
TRUCONNECT® represents Konecranes' latest innovation in remote services, offering a spectrum of services from periodic data reporting to real-time diagnostics and production monitoring.
Konecranes offers customizable service programs ranging from compliance inspections to full-service partnerships, allowing for outsourced crane maintenance and operations.
Cranes can be equipped with Die Grippers, controlled via radio controllers. These systems require high positioning accuracy, achieved through lasers for bridge position measurement, rotating absolute encoders for hoisting, closed-loop inverter control, and strict mechanical tolerances.
