Specifications:
The electric horn is designed for marine vessels between 20 and 75 meters in length and is IMO certified. It features a high-strength aluminum bell, a supporting frame, and stainless steel diaphragm and fasteners. The horn is self-draining to prevent condensation and corrosion. The driver unit is fully enclosed, marine type, with an IP56 rating and includes a 150 watt/120 Volt anti-condensation strip heater. It does not require an external air or steam source.

Performance:
The horn produces a sound pressure level of approximately 71 dB at 5 km under calm, cool conditions without topographical interference. The audibility range is 1 nautical mile, certified for Class III marine vessels. The model KB-20 has a total SPL of 132 dBA at 1 meter and a 1/3 octave SPL of over 131 dB at 1 meter. The fundamental frequency is 300 Hz ± 20 Hz.

Power and Consumption:
The horn operates at 24 V.D.C. and can be used with an optional M-477 Power Supply for 115/230 volt A.C. It consumes 500 W of power.

Environmental and Physical Characteristics:
The operating temperature range is from -40ºC to +45ºC (-22ºF to +113ºF). The horn is finished with Alodine treatment, primed, and enamel coated. It has a degree of protection rated at IP56. The dimensions are 949x541x394 cm (37x21x15.5 inches) and it weighs 22 kg (49 lbs).
