The braided floatrope from Hampidjan is an alternative to the conventional floats for use on headlines and wings, and to create lift in codends. The rope is very flexible and can be easily wound on winches, laid down on the deck or stacked in a box. The cover is made of braided polyethylene, which gives a thin, strong and durable protection for the floats inside it. Use of the float rope on seine nets has improved all handling of the nets, as it can be wound onto the winches with the netting. Damage to the netting commonly caused by conventional floats will be almost eliminated, resulting in less repair time and less netting replacement cost.
