CHARACTERISTICS The pump drives range of equipment allows a single or a multiple of pumps to be driven from a single prime mover. Single pump drives allow a pump to be close coupled to a diesel engine that has a flywheel and flywheel housing in accordance with SAE standards (non standard can also be accommodated). Supplied in a kit format consisting of a bell housing fully machined to suit the particular pump mounting and a flexible coupling to suit the engine flywheel and particular pump shaft. Multiple pump drives allow two or more pumps to be driven from a single prime mover. Available...

80°C for mineral oil. For types AM 220, 230, 232, 330, 345, 365 and 450 a cooling system is readily available. This comprises of an oil circulation pump that is driven from the pump side of the input shaft together with either a water/oil or an air/oil heat exchanger. Such a system allows for a higher continuous working power to be used. DIESEL ENGINE CONNECTION For diesel engine driven applications the pump drives can be supplied complete with all adaption kits for close coupling to engines that have flywheel and flywheel housings conforming to SAE standards. See dimensioned table on page 12...

Pump Drives Hydraulic Pump Adaptors Below are examples of our adaptors specially produced to facilitate pump mountings in situations where SAE standard close coupling format is not available. This bellhousing and coupling arrangement is typical of a wide variety offered for small industrial petrol and diesel engines. Intended for engines with output shaft, these mounting kits are capable of accommodating many types of hydraulic pump. The petrol/diesel engine coupling assembly illustrated is composed of interchangeable hub components common to our other adaptors. Above is one of our front...

BD, BDS and PFI clutches are available with hydraulic pump adator in place of output shaft on models BDP, BDSP and PFI P. The pump adaptors take the same form offered on the type AM multiple pump drive units, but the selection of adaptors may be restricted according to the clutch and pump combination planned. Further details are available from jbj Technical Department, telephone: 01737 767493 or email: info@jbj.co.uk Technical Data All other data as per standard BD and BDS units. Pump drive type When selecting a suitable AM unit, it is necessary to consider the input power limits set below: (1) Stationary industrial applications, without cooling system for pump drive. (2) Mobile or intermittent applications, without cooling system for pump drive. (3) Stationary industrial applications, with Technodrive cooling system. Maximum continuous power may increase by using a stronger cooling system. Columns 1 and 2 indicate the maximum continuous and intermittent power for where it is unnecessary to have a pump drive cooling system. The values shown are only indicative in so...

Use gear lube oils with EP additive and minimum viscosity index of 95. The oil choice may be made taking account of the ambient temperature, as the table below. The pump drives are supplied without oil. Before use, fill to the maximum level on dipstick. The oil quantity indicated in the catalogue is approximate. Additional oil will be needed if a cooling system is fitted. Oil must be replaced after the first 50 working hours. Subsequent oil changes should be made every 1000 hours or every 12 months, whichever is the earlier. Oil working temperature must not exceed 105OC for synthetic oil...
