Our story It was at the World Sailing Games, in 1994, that Didier Le Moal met Jeff Johnstone from the American J/Boats yard. That same year, J Composites was created and the first J/92 was assembled by the French team. The J/80 and J/120 followed suit and they were the first boats whose interior finish would be geared around the European market. 2001 saw the launch of the first sailboat developed together with J Composites: the J/109. Still building J/Boats under licence, J Composites now exerts its influence over the global market, as well as being a driving force in the development of ranges....

And J/Boats ? J/Boats is a family business created in 1977 on America’s eastern seaboard. Designed by brothers Rod and Bob Johnstone, the company got people talking thanks to the J/24, which became one of the most popular sailboats of the time with some 5,200 boats built.
