Waterproofing Membranes ELOTENE FG50 Self-Adhesive Bituminous Membrane with Fibreglass Reinforcement. DESCRIPTION Elotene FG 50 is a self-adhesive bituminous waterproofing membrane with fiberglass reinforcement, positioned at the centre of the membrane itself. The membrane is self-protected by a HDPE polyethylene film. Thanks to this composition, if the membrane is moved up close to a flame, it becomes adhesive, offering a surface for a traditional sheath or insulating panel on top of it. This way the joint between the first and the second membrane or between the membrane and the insulating panel will be solid and definitive. Elotene FG 50 is an excellent system membrane for waterproofing. The membrane can be installed and attached directly on the panels, by simply removing the silicone release protection film. The fiberglass reinforcement ensures stable shape and conveys good mechanical characteristics. • Connecting membrane between insulating panels and membrane; • Connection membrane between cement screed and insulation panel; • Waterproofing in general, any space not compatible with the use of free fire flames (i.e. factories or warehouses where flammable chemical agents are produced or stored). All surfaces on which Elotene Waterproofing membranes have to be installed must be dry, clean, smooth and free of impurities. If the surface is porous, apply a coat of Primer in a quantity of 75 - 150 g/sqm. The use of Primer is in any case advisable, and the manufacturers instructions must be followed.
