Sealing & Adhesive Products BUTYL DRUM - D30 High Extrudable Hot Melt Butyl Mastic Butyl Drum D30 is a hot melt butyl rubber mastic with fillers and resins. The range of Butyl Drums is designed for industrial applications. The mastics are vacuum manufactured and outgassed. This process guarantees the compound to be solvent free, filtered and free from air bubbles. Butyl Drums D30 is available in drums of approx. 200 l. Butyl Drum D30 is characterized by high extrusion easiness. SURFACE PREPARATION Butyl Drum D30 must be applied to a clean, dry, smooth and dust-free surface. For an application between 0 °C and + 5 °C, ensure that condensed moisture is absent on the surface. In case of porous supports it’s advisable to stabilize the surface. Butyl Drum D30 is used in industrial applications to form adhesive bonding strips on most substrates, such as steel, aluminium, fabrics. Butyl Drum D30 can be applied to any surface even at low temperatures.
