Perfection Undercoat Undercoats High Performance Undercoat PRODUCT DESCRIPTION High performance two part polyurethane undercoat suitable for all finishes. Perfection Undercoat is the ideal base for a long lasting scheme, when used with Perfection Finish. * Easy application, fast drying and easy sanding * Excellent gloss hold out of finish coats * Semigloss appearance PRODUCT INFORMATION Colour Specific Gravity Volume Solids Converter/Curing Agent Typical Shelf Life Unit Size 750 ml, 2.5 Lt Not all pack sizes are available in all countries DRYING/OVERCOATING INFORMATION Drying 5°C (41°F) Perfection Undercoat PREVIOUSLY PAINTED SURFACES In Good Condition Wash down with Super Cleaner, rinse with fresh water and allow to dry. Abrade with 280320 grade (grit) paper. In Poor Condition Remove all previous coatings and prime the substrate. PRIMING All preparation for bare substrates is covered on the appropriate primer datasheet. BARE WOOD Prime with Interprotect. STEEL Prime with Interprotect. ALUMINIUM Prime with Interprotect. GRP Wash down with Super Cleaner, rinse with fresh water and allow to dry. Abrade with 180220 grade paper. AGED/WEATHERED GELCOATS Degrease with solvent or suitable detergent cleaner. Sand well using 180220 grade paper. Clean thoroughly and allow to dry completely. To avoid potential pinholing, apply 3 coats of an International 2 pack epoxy primer which must be then overcoated with an International 2 pack undercoat prior to topcoat application. ALL SUBSTRATES If any filling is required use the appropriate product from the International range. If maximum overcoating time of previous coating/primer is exceeded, abrade using 180220 grade paper. Remove dust with a dust wipe. Apply 12 coats. Mixing Stir contents of each part prior to mixing. Add Curing Agent to the Base, stir and leave for 10 minutes to allow bubbles to disperse. Thinner Thinner No.9 Cleaner Thinner No.9 Ventilation and Humidity Control Apply in dry, well ventilated conditions. Avoid excessively humid conditions, over 80% relative humidity.
