Product Description: A traditional yacht varnish with UV resistance, offering excellent flexibility, ease of application, good gloss retention, and non-blooming qualities. It provides a high clarity finish, ideal for lighter color timbers.
Product Information: The varnish is available in color YVA202 with a high gloss finish. It has a specific gravity of 0.93, volume solids of 52%, and a typical shelf life of 2 years. VOC content is 352 g/lt, and it is available in unit sizes of 375 ml, 750 ml, and 2.5 lt.
Drying/Overcoating Information: Drying times vary with temperature, from 16 hours at 5°C to 3 hours at 35°C. Overcoating times also vary, with a minimum of 36 hours at 5°C and 12 hours at 35°C.
Application and Use:
  • Preparation: For previously varnished wood in good condition, clean with Super Cleaner and sand with 280-320 grade paper. For poor condition, remove all previous coatings. For bare wood, degrease and sand with 80-180 and then 280 grade paper.
  • Method: Apply a minimum of 3 unthinned coats, sanding between coats with 320-400 grade paper. Avoid using directly from the can.
  • Important Points: Use above the waterline only, avoid temperatures below 5°C, and do not paint in direct sunlight.
Transportation, Storage, and Safety Information: Store between 5°C and 35°C, avoiding air exposure and temperature extremes. For safety, refer to the label and technical help line. Dispose of remainders responsibly, consulting authorities as needed.

Original Varnishes Full Gloss Yacht VarnishSuitable for power and sail boats PRODUCT DESCRIPTION A traditional yacht varnish with UV resistance. Features include excellent flexibility, ease of application, good gloss retention, and nonblooming qualities. A high clarity finish especially suited to lighter colour timbers. PRODUCT INFORMATION Colour High Gloss Specific Gravity Volume Solids Typical Shelf Life Unit Size DRYING/OVERCOATING INFORMATION Drying 5°C (41°F) PREVIOUSLY VARNISHED WOOD In Good Condition Clean the surface with Super Cleaner. Sand smooth with 280320 grade paper. Remove sanding dust with thinners. In Poor Condition Remove all previous coatings. BARE WOOD Ensure that the surface is thoroughly degreased. Sand smooth with 80180 grade paper and then 280 grade paper. Remove sanding dust by brushing, dusting and wiping. If wiping with solvent then allow to dry completely before applying the first coat. Priming bare wood: Thin the first coat by 1015% with Thinner No.1. Apply a minimum of 3 unthinned coats, more if using a roller. For best results sand smooth between coats with 320400 grade wet or dry paper. Avoid using direct from the can. Pour the amount you expect to use in a separate container. Mixing Stir well before use. Thinner Brush YTA800 Thinner No. 1. Spray Thinner 910 or Thinner 920 Cleaner Thinner No.1 Roller If applying by roller, lay off with a brush or pad otherwise air bubbles may become trapped in the film. Airless Spray (Professional spray application only) Pressure: 176210 bar. Tip Size: 13651580. Conventional Spray (Professional spray application only) Pressure: 23 bar. Tip Size: 1.11.4 mm. Thin 2025% with Thinner 910 or Thinner 920. Airmix spray (Professional spray application only) Pressure: 2 bar. Tip Size: 06113. For best results sand lightly between coats with 320400 grade paper. Avoid using direct from the can. Pour the amount you expect to use in a separate container. Some Important Points Use above the waterline only. Do not use below 5°C. Avoid painting in direct sunlight. Product temperature should be minimum 15°C and maximum 35°C. Ambient temperature should be minimum 5°C/41°F and maximum 35°C/95°F.
