Surface preparations and systems Previously painted surface in good condition : Wash down with Boatcare Super Cleaner, rinse with fresh water and allow to dry. Sand with 180–280 grade paper. Poor surface condition : Remove all previous coatings and prime the substrate. Steel / Aluminium : Prime with Intergard 269 or Interprime 820 thinned 15%.
