Application and Use: For previously painted surfaces in good condition, wash with Super Cleaner, rinse, dry, and abrade with 180-280 grade paper. For poor conditions, remove coatings and prime. Bare wood, steel, and aluminum should be primed with Yacht Primer or Interprotect. GRP requires washing and abrading without priming. Apply 1-2 coats, ensuring proper mixing and thinning as needed. Application methods include brush, conventional spray, and roller.
Transportation, Storage, and Safety Information: Store Danboline between 5°C and 35°C, avoiding air exposure and temperature extremes. During transportation, keep containers securely closed. Danboline Finishes Bilge Protection Paint PRODUCT DESCRIPTION Danboline protects bilges, lockers and bulkheads against moisture penetration and wear and tear. Danboline will resist oil and fuel spillage and cleans easily. * High opacity for excellent covering power * Hard wearing * Available in a range of colours PRODUCT INFORMATION Colour YMA100Grey, YMA102White Not all colours or pack sizes are available in all countries. Specific Gravity Volume Solids Typical Shelf Life Unit Size DRYING/OVERCOATING INFORMATION Drying 5°C (41°F) PREVIOUSLY PAINTED SURFACES In Good Condition Wash down with Super Cleaner, rinse with fresh water and allow to dry. Abrade with 180280 grade paper. In Poor Condition Remove all previous coatings and prime the substrate. PRIMING All preparation for bare substrates is covered on the appropriate primer datasheet. BARE WOOD Prime with Yacht Primer or Interprotect. STEEL Prime with Yacht Primer or Interprotect. ALUMINIUM Prime with Yacht Primer or Interprotect. GRP Wash down with Super Cleaner, rinse with fresh water and allow to dry. Abrade with 180220 grade paper. Particular attention should be given to the reverse side of moulded GRP. No priming necessary. Sand the primer using 180280 grade wet or dry paper. Remove dust with a dust wipe. Apply 12 coats. Mixing Stir well before use. Thinner Thinner No.1 (Thinner 910 for spraying) Cleaner Thinners No.1 Ventilation and Humidity Control Apply in dry, well ventilated conditions. Conventional Spray Pressure: 34 bar. Tip Size: 1.2 mm. Thin approximately 20% with Thinners 910. SPRAY APPLICATION PROFESSIONAL APPLICATORS ONLY. Other For added protection against moisture absorption and osmosis in the bilges, use Gelshield products.
