Product catalog summary
Product Description: Intershield 300V is a light-colored, abrasion-resistant, aluminum pure epoxy coating designed for long-term anticorrosive protection. It is suitable for low-temperature applications and can be used as a universal primer on mechanically prepared shop primer or bare steel. It is approved for potable water tanks over 5,000 gallons and certified to ANSI/NSF Standard 61.
Intended Uses: The product is available in ENA310-Bronze and ENA311-Aluminium colors, with a volume solids content of 63% ±2%. It can be applied using airless spray, brush, or roller, with a typical dry film thickness of 150 microns.
Product Information: The mix ratio is 1:1 by volume for Part A and Part B, with a flash point of 31°C when mixed. The drying times vary with temperature, with a touch dry time of 60 minutes at 35°C and a hard dry time of 2 hours at the same temperature.
Certification: The product is certified for food contact, fire resistance, and potable water use. Certification may vary by region, and users should consult their International Paint representative for details.
Surface Preparation: Surfaces must be clean, dry, and free from contaminants. Newbuilding surfaces should be blast cleaned to Sa2½ or power tooled to Pt3 standards. Major refurbishments require abrasive blast cleaning to Sa2 or HB2M standards.
Application: The product is supplied in two containers and must be mixed thoroughly before use. Application by brush or roller is recommended for small areas, and airless spray is recommended for larger areas. Proper ventilation and protective equipment are necessary during application.
Safety: Users must follow all health, safety, and environmental regulations. Emergency contact numbers are provided for different regions.
Limitations: The product should be applied in good weather, with the surface temperature at least 3°C above the dew point. Overcoating information is for guidance only and may vary by region.
Storage: The product has a shelf life of 12 months at 25°C and should be stored in dry, shaded conditions.
