ALUMINIUM PRIMER Description Primer made out of modified synthetic resin. Quick-drying. High content in aluminium flakes. Highly waterproof, especially under immersion conditions. Fields of Application As a uniforming or waterproofing primer on old antifouling, allowing to overcoat the surface with new antifouling without problems. Alsoas a linking coat between epoxy primer coats and single-component coatings, in order to ensure adhesion of top coats. Technical Data Product Type Silky matt 4 hours. Vinyl topcoats: 24 hours Brush, roller, spray-gun Brush and roller: 0 - 5%, Spray-gun: 10 - 15% TITAN YATE Thinner Equipment Cleaning TITAN YATe Thinner Pack sizes Variations in temperature, humidity, thickness, tinting or surface type, etc. may lead to changes in drying, in coverage or in other properties. Directions for use GENERAL REMARKS: Carefully stir the contents in the can. The surfaces to be painted have to be clean, dry and degreased. Submerged surfaces: Surfaces prepared with Anticorrosive Epoxy Primer: Apply Aluminium Primer by 24 hours from the last coat of Anticorrosive Epoxy Primer. If this delay is exceeded, sand the surface in order to ensure good adhesion. Finish with two antifouling coats.

For waterproofing old or unknown antifouling coats: Directly apply 1 coat of Aluminium Primer and finish with 2 further antifouling coats. Wood (non-submerged surfaces): Apply 1 thinned coat of Anticorrosive Epoxy Primer or 1 coat of Aluminium Primer, which has to be 15% thinned). Apply 2 further coats of Aluminium Primer and finish with Enamel for Fishing Boats. Precautions Always read the pack label before use. For more information, please refer to the Safety Data Sheet.
