MultiStore Digital Voice and Call Logging System - 1

Logging system Data recorder unit MultiStore VCL (voice and call logging) is developed for the recording of different coirinniinication signals: telephone traffic radio traffic microphone signals arriving telefax traffic Furthermore, it is also possible to connect a video picture compression and storage unit. This unit is controlled from the same site as MultiStore voice and call logging system. The MultiStore VCL operates without any user actions (a black box). All operations (exept the change of archive tapes) are done through the TCP/IP net from the operating site. The saving cannot stop otherwise than by turning off the data recorder unit. After the power supply interrupt the data recorder starts automatically. Operating site The MultiStore VCL is used via the TCP/IP network from ordinary PC which has been equipped with Windows NT operating system, voice card and loudspeakers. Telephones, radios or microphones can be connected to the audio channels. In addition to that, incoming telefaxes can be recorded and sent e-mail messages with file attachments. Received telefaxes are printed automatically to the printer. The audio channels are connected through the filter unit. In the filter unit the levels of audio signals can be adjusted channel by Recording Control For all the used audio channels are defined: start recording: digital I/O or VOX when VOX is used, starting level and minimum duration of the signal (to prevent the unnecessary recordings caused by the short disturbances) stop delay when a VOX is used Caller ID is saved from incoming calls, which will be obtained as a DTMF signal at the beginning of the call. Furthermore storage unit can connect to the telephone exchange via serial interface. In this case caller ID for each call can be obtained Recordings are saved to hard disk. Recording capacity (saving time) depends on the number of the channels and from usage. The capacity will be typically from week to months. It is possible to play immediately the recordings on the disk. The recordings are also archived automatically to the DAT tape.
