All materials and equipment used in the installation will conform to Underwriter's Laboratories standards and must be designed for intended Marina use. Materials and equipment should be standard products of a manufacturer regularly engaged in the manufacture of such products. 2. The Pedestal shall be UL listed as a complete assembly. 3. Electrical wiring will consist of insulated stranded copper type THHN/MTW conductors rated for service at 90 C or THHW/MTWVW-I Boat Cable rated for 105 C. Non-wire conductors will be tin plated copper and/or aluminum Lugs. 4. The Pedestal shall be molded of polycarbonate or polyvinyl chloride polymer and all body parts shall be corrosion, impact and UV resistant capable of withstanding high humidity and caustic environments. 5. Color shall be permanent molded in white to resist showing 6. The Pedestal shall be constructed so that it may be installed (both physical mounting and utility connections) without mechanical disassembly of internal parts. 7. Installation is to be in accordance with applicable codes and approved by local inspector. RECEPTACLES & BREAKERS - Light Center 8. Receptacles shall be corrosion resistant, grounding type, conforming to NFPA Volume 303 Chapter 3, Section 3.13. 9. Each receptacle shall be protected by a thermal magnetic circuit breaker that is ambient temperature sensitive. I. The Pedestal shall have diffused downward directed lighting using self- ballasted fluorescent lamps. Maximum wattage for lamps is 15W, which equals 60W incandescent light output. A suitable fuse must protect each Pedestal light circuit. 2. Optionally each Pedestal light shall be controlled from a photocell 3. Lighting circuit components must be accessible for maintenance with a tool to open mechanism that is both quick and easy. D. FIRE PEDESTAL ONLY 10. The Pedestal shall be capable of holding a 10 lb. Type ABC Size II Fire Extinguisher manufactured by Kidde or Amerex companies. Alternate Extinguisher: An alternate may be used as long as the dimensions do not exceed 9" from hose to handle and 24" from the bottom of the canister to the top of the handle. Access to the extinguisher shall be made possible through a clear Lexan® sliding door which is kept shut by a pull-pin on a stainless steel cable attached to the side of the pedestal. I.
