Specifications: Various models of gear motors and thrusters are listed, each with specific RPM, torque, power, and voltage ranges. For instance, DM500 gear motors operate at 29-70 RPM with a torque of 17-40Nm and require 24-300VDC. Control modes include analog voltage, PWM, CAN, and RS485/RS422.
Control and Feedback: Control options encompass analog voltage control, PWM, CAN, and RS485/RS422 protocols. Feedback mechanisms include analog voltage and pulse feedback, with customization options for communication addresses and terminal resistance values.
Environmental and Structural Considerations: The document outlines materials like aluminum and titanium alloys, suitable for freshwater or seawater environments. It provides depth ratings and weight variations, emphasizing the importance of selecting appropriate materials and designs for specific underwater conditions.
Model Selection and Performance: Key factors in selecting underwater thrusters include thrust, efficiency, dimensions, weight, noise, control modes, operating depth, and service life. The thrust-deadweight ratio is highlighted as a critical performance metric, with recommendations to ensure accurate evaluation and avoid misleading specifications.
Technical Information: The document explains the importance of rated thrust, which is the maximum mooring thrust under standard power supply conditions. It advises on the potential for higher thrust when input voltage exceeds standard levels, emphasizing the need for careful consideration of operating conditions.
Conclusion: This guide assists in selecting and understanding the capabilities of underwater thrusters and gear motors, providing essential information for optimizing performance in various marine applications.
Overview of Thruster Specifications and Performance: Thrusters operate under varying conditions, influenced by power supply voltage and water intake velocity. Users should consider thrust curves, which relate thrust to propeller speed, motor input power, and voltage conditions, to select suitable thrusters.
Thruster Efficiency: Efficiency is determined by the ratio of output power to input power, influenced by propeller, mechanical, motor, and controller efficiencies. High efficiency can be achieved at different water intake velocities.
Thruster Encapsulation: Encapsulation involves sealing components to protect against water ingress. Common seals include magnetic coupling and mechanical seals, with magnetic coupling enhancing operating depth.
Control Modes: Thrusters can be controlled via analogue (5VDC, PWM) or digital (CAN bus, RS485, RS422) signals. Digital control is preferred for its simplicity and stability.
Uniformity and Reliability: Uniformity is crucial for performance consistency, achieved through advanced techniques and closed-loop algorithms. Reliability is ensured through robust materials, quality control, and protective features like power isolation and overheating protection.
