It is driven by a pair of 150W, 48Vdc brushed DC motors coupled to a common drive shaft with a high-pressure shaft seal to a gear pump. It is commonly used to power compact hydraulic manipulators on manipulator skids such as the Mini-Gauntlet skid used on the Falcon electric observation class ROV or can be used for other activities such as low pressure accumulator charging or as a low pressure, low flow hydraulic supply for dedicated functions on submersible systems.
