Barge Tsunami Thruster Product Brochure

Product catalog summary
Overview: The document describes bracket-mounted marine thruster units designed for easy installation on various vessel designs and applications. These units can be powered by a single hydraulic power unit (HPU) or the vessel engine and are suitable for engines ranging from 100 to 600 horsepower. Key features include azimuth steering, variable depth, and thrust nozzle, making them ideal for shallow-draft operations where maneuverability is crucial.
Product Line Specifications: The document lists several models, each with specific propeller dimensions, horsepower requirements, continuous thrust capabilities, and weight. Models range from B2416-100 to B3226-DX2, with thrust capabilities from 1800 to 11000 lbf. The document notes that actual thrust and weight may vary based on configuration and operating conditions.
Features and Advantages: The thrusters offer rapid installation, optimal maneuverability, fuel efficiency, reliability, and minimal maintenance. They feature hydrostatic-driven continuous thrust, hydraulic drive, depth adjustment, and automatic tilt for rapid depth adjustment and maintenance.
General Specifications: The standard system includes a dry weight of 1500-3000 lbs, a standard depth of 78 inches, and a hydraulic propulsion system with Danfoss or Kawasaki motors. Structural components include a galvanized steel frame, stainless steel hardware, and anti-corrosion features.
Options and Upgrades: Available options include installation kits with hydraulic pumps and electronic controls, automatic tilt mechanisms, full azimuth steering, ducted propellers for increased thrust, long-reach drive units, and hydraulic power units with various diesel engine options.

Bracket-Mounted Hydraulic Thrusters 1800-11000 Foot Pounds of Thrust Versatile and powerful, these bracket-mounted marine thruster units are easily installed to accommodate both vessel design and application. They can be mounted singly or paired together and powered by a single HMS-supplied hydraulic power unit or the vessel engine. HMS manufactures several patented models for use with engines ranging from 100 to 600 horsepower (75-450 kW) and configured to suit customer requirements. Azimuth steering, variable depth, and thrust nozzle features make these thruster units particularly well-suited to constricted inland shallow-draft operation where vessel maneuverability is absolutely critical.
