HYDE SAILS HAVE HAD A LONG ASSOCIATION WITH THE PHANTOM CLASS. SINCE 2007 WE HAVE WORKED CLOSELY WITH A NUMBER OF LEADING SAILORS, INCLUDING BRETT COCKAYNE AND JEFF VAN DE BOUGHT OF VANDERCRAFT, THE BUILDER IN THE CLASS. A new sail designed this year specifically to work with the Carbon masts that are now widespread in the fleet. The sail works equally well with either the Superspar or Selden sections. The Phantom has a very large mainsail and therefore requires a degree of self adjustment and gust response. This is achieved in the Code M07C by correct cloth selection and orientation and utilising a radial design. We have paid careful attention to maintaining the balance between having a powerful sail for medium winds whilst retaining the ability to efficiently depower when the breeze increases. The Code M07C is made from 0DLQ4, a material of exceptional stability across the cloth. It is also very light weight offering a saving over other sails yet sacrificing THE FOLLOWING SAILS ARE AVAILABLE INC.
