Marine Adapter 30 Amp Twist-Lock® to 15 Amp Straight Blade - with GFCI Protection The Hubbell Marine Group now offers an adapter that can provide 15 Amp convenience power with Ground Fault Protection from your 30 Amp locking shore power receptacle on shore. Now you can plug in your power drill, sander or any other 15 Amp tool or appliance into that 30 Amp outlet on the dock - and be GFCI protected while doing so. This portable GFCI adapter will protect people from the hazards of line-to-ground electrical current leakage that can occur in electrical appliances and tools, especially when used in a wet or damp location such as a marina, boat yard, construction site, etc. If a ground fault occurs and the leakage exceeds 4-6 milliamperes, the unit will quickly interrupt the power supply and limit the duration of the shock.
