Recommended Use: Primarily used as a tank lining.
Service Temperature: Maximum dry exposure is 140°C/284°F. In water without temperature gradient, it is 50°C/122°F. For other liquids, consult the CARGO PROTECTION GUIDE.
Certificates/Approvals: Tested for non-toxicity of welding fumes by the Danish Welding Institute, complies with Section 175.300 of U.S. Federal Regulations, and tested for non-contamination of grain cargo in Great Britain.
Availability: Part of Group Assortment, local availability subject to confirmation.
Physical Constants: The paint has a semi-flat finish with a volume solids percentage of 48 ± 1. The theoretical spreading rate is 6 m²/l at 80 microns. VOC content is 463 g/l. It is fully cured in 7 days at 20°C/68°F and dry to touch in 8-10 hours at the same temperature.
Application Details: The product is mixed in a 4:1 ratio by volume and can be applied using airless spray or brush. The recommended nozzle orifice is 0.021" with a pressure of 200 bar. The indicated dry film thickness is 80 microns, and wet is 175 microns.
Surface Preparation: Steel surfaces should be cleaned of oil, grease, and contaminants, followed by abrasive blasting to near white metal Sa 2½.
Application Conditions: Apply on dry, clean surfaces above the dew point. The temperature should be above 10°C/50°F with a maximum relative humidity of 80%. Special curing agents are available for lower temperatures.
Remarks: Film thickness and thinning may vary based on use. The product is for professional use only, and adherence to the PAINTING SPECIFICATION is crucial. Curing must be complete before tank service.
Safety and Handling: Handle with care, observing all safety labels and regulations. Use HEMPEL'S TOOL CLEANER 99610 for cleaning tools.
