Product Data HEMPEL'S CLASSIC VARNISH 01150 SURFACE PREPARATION: Preparation: Always ensure all surfaces are clean, oil free and dry. Clean the surface and remove possible oil and grease with a suitable detergent and sand with dry abrasive paper. Carefully remove dust with fresh water. New wood: Sand and remove all dust. Saturate the dry, clean surface with suitable wood treatment, allow to dry. Plywood: Sand and remove all dust. Seal the dry clean surface with suitable wood sealer.
