Product Data HEMPALIN DANREX 52360 Description: HEMPALIN DANREX 52360 is a versatile, alkyd-based, economy paint with fairly good penetration into rough and porous substrate. Harmless to grain cargo. Recommended use: 1. As a self-primed paint system on interior steel and woodwork, e.g. in dry cargo holds and other dry areas such as engine rooms, including tank tops, main engine and auxiliary machinery. 2. As a primer for alkyd-based paint systems in mild environment. SURFACE PREPARATION: New steel: Remove oil and grease etc. thoroughly with suitable detergent. Remove salts and other contaminants by high pressure fresh water cleaning. Abrasive blasting to Sa 2 (ISO 8501-1:1988) is recommended. For temporary protection, if required, use a suitable shopprimer. All damage of shopprimer and contamination from storage and fabrication should be thoroughly cleaned prior to final painting. Remove oil and grease etc. thoroughly with suitable detergent. Remove salts and other contaminants by high pressure fresh water cleaning. Remove rust and loose paint by abrasive blasting or power tool cleaning to St 3 (ISO 8501-1:1988) (minor areas) before recoating. APPLICATION CONDITIONS: Apply only on a dry and clean surface with a temperature above the dew point to avoid condensation. In confined spaces provide adequate ventilation during application and drying. PRECEDING COAT None, or as per specification. Recommended systems are: HEMPALIN PRIMER 12050 SUBSEQUENT COAT: May be recoated with itself or According to specification.
