Fuel and Starting System
The engine uses a common rail fuel system controlled by an ECU and is started electrically by a 24V, 7.0A starter motor. It includes a 24V, 80Ah alternator and a 24V, 200Ah battery.

The engine features a wet turbocharger and intercooler. The cooling system includes a heat exchanger or keel cooling with a maximum water capacity of 105 liters and a minimum of 94.5 liters. The fresh water pump is centrifugal, and the sea water pump uses a rubber impeller.

The engine operates under ISO 3046 standards with a performance tolerance of ±3%. It is available in various duty models: Continuous Duty, Heavy Duty, Medium Duty, and Light Duty, each with specific power ratings and emission compliance (IMO Tier II/III, EPA Tier 3, RCD).
