Color Calibration Approach
Hatteland Display adopts a 'one-stop-shop' approach, leveraging extensive technical knowledge and dedicated facilities to manage IMO regulations for systems. This includes transferring competency, supporting implementation, assisting with type approvals, and providing approved displays.

ECDIS Type Approval Process
Hatteland Display can deliver fully Type Approved ECDIS calibrated displays or offer support services at any stage of the approval process. The calibration involves creating a unique color correction table for each monitor, stored in the monitor's flash memory, which the ECDIS software uses to set the output.

Calibration and Verification Methods
Two methods are available: calibration, which involves testing a monitor as part of an integrated system, and verification, which checks displays with identical type numbers against requirements by measuring five colors from the DAY table.

Technical Specifications
Both the computer and display must pass EN60945/E10 testing. RGB files are created using selected system hardware, with one RGB file per unit. An audit from a classification society, such as DNV, is required.
