MA1 UL LIFEJACKET INFLATOR

Product catalog summary
Product Overview:
The Hammar MA1 UL Lifejacket Inflator is a manual/automatic inflator designed for safety and reliability. It features a unique hydrostatic valve that prevents accidental activation in rain, spray, or humidity. The inflator includes a single point indicator to show readiness and a cylinder seal indicator to ensure the cylinder is unused. The gas cylinder is protected against corrosion and reduces snagging hazards.

Functionality:
The inflator activates when submerged more than 4 inches in water, releasing a spring that punctures the gas cylinder, inflating the lifejacket within 4-5 seconds. In cases where the valve is not sufficiently submerged, manual inflation is possible via a pull tab.

Testing and Maintenance:
Users can test the lifejacket without activating the inflator by using the oral tube. The inflator requires replacement after use or after five years. Regular checks of the single point indicator and expiry date are recommended.

Rearming Instructions:
To rearm, place the lifejacket on a flat surface, remove the used inflator, and insert a new one. Ensure the indicator is green and the expiry date is valid. Follow the detailed steps for proper installation.

FAQs:
- The inflator works by pressure difference and will not activate in humidity.
- The gas cylinder is protected from corrosion.
- Inflation takes 4-5 seconds, slightly longer in extreme cold.
- The inflator requires no servicing unless used or after five years.
- Recharging is simple with a kit from dealers.

Cost Efficiency:
The inflator is cost-efficient with no service requirements and a five-year expiry, offering long-term savings despite a higher initial cost.

HAMMAR LIFEJACKET INFLATOR THIS MODEL OF INFLATOR! The Hammar Manual/Automatic Inflator has a unique hydrostatic valve that works by the pressure diffe- rence between the inside of the bladder and the outside. When the inflator is lowered more than about app. 10 cm in water, the hydrostatic valve opens and water will have access to a water sensitive element. That in turn releases a stainless steel coil spring. The spring then drives a needle into the end of the gas cylinder, which is now punctured so that the gas instantly fills the life jacket. WILL THE LIFEJACKET INFLATE IF NO - because it...
